I am new to collecting and have learned quite a bit about coins, but I have a long way to go on notes! I have several 1935 silver certificates with Hawaii stamps on them. I also have several $2 bills, a few have red stamps, and this one is red with a star. Any info on these and rough estimate of value would be appreciated.

Thanks!

We would need to know condition and serial numbers to give an accurate answer. The star would probably add a little and the Hawaii notes do have a nice premium.Check e-Bay on the Hawaii notes.

I checked ebay trying to get a value estimate, but I was not sure if ebay is always a good representation of values. I have someone interested in trading for the Hawaii bill, so I was not sure what it may be worth or how to grade bills.

The serial #'s are:

s52245190c on the Hawaii silver cert. (series 1935A)
*02437257a on the $2 bill (series 1928D)

Your Hawaii note looks to be worth less then $30 because of condition.
The $2 would be worth $35 in very good condition but the note pictured looks less then very good. These prices are a little old it's just to give you an idea of value.

The 28d * $2 is a tough note to find.

Hawaii are more available, I had ten consecutive, but I think some barstool stole them.
