Hey all! I am having some difficulty attributing this coin. It can only be RIC 26a type 2 or type 6. Type 2 has a mintmark that reads BSISC while type 6 is (star)BSISC

There is something before the B in the mintmark but I can not make out what it is. It is either a star or it is just the foot of the kneeling woman hanging down. Thoughts?

I apologize for the awful picture. I am still when it comes to coin photography.

EDIT: The obverse shows Gratians pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right with the inscription D N GRATIANVS P F AVG.

I also see something before the B. At 400% magnifaction it looks like it might be a star. So it could be *BISC or *BISC., RIC ix 26a.6 or 26a.8

I think that could be a star.

If you can see a star then you have better eyes than me. I magnified the image by 400% and could not see a star. When I compare it to images of both 26a(2)and(6), it looks just like type 2 to me. That's my 2 cents worth.

I have the worst eye sight, but there does appear to be something before the B, could be a star, piece of dirt, or nothing at all. I played with you image a bit, but I'm still not able to say what is there if anything.

Well I messed around a bit with my microscope and came to the determination that there is no star. The shape before the B is just damage on the coin. Looks like this one has been nailed down as RIC 26a type 2. Thanks guys!
