Hey roo, you've just pointed out another thing with the books mc says 74 renniks says 73 who's right same info just different years

The $50 was issued in October 1973

There might be some confusion as the $50 had the word "Australia" at the top but this wasn't extended to the other notes until 1974.

Iteresting discussion, not many people talk about notes on the forums anymore,i was an avid collector for several years & I collected some fanastic notes & I totally understand what the older guys are saying about the smell,i got a good big wif when I got this note out for the scan.
Including this first ever $50 note 1st prefix.

My birth date year & month are all in the serial number.

I loved the old $100 notes!
I am looking to get some $1 and $2 dollar notes again as mine have gone missing.
I would be happy to buy some if someone has spares!
