In case some of you have not heard about this, a man tried to pay for items at Walmart with a one million dollar bill. Just thought you all would get a kick out of this mans ignorance .

Well it is Walmart so what else would you expect? They seem to target many low class folks such as this brainless fellow.

But I would not be surprised if in 1,000 years from now (or sooner) to see a 1 million dollar bill; yes I know I won't be alive then, I'm just trying to make a point. =]

I think the reason they quit making big dollar notes (anything over a hundred) is because they didn't want to make it easy for the criminals to carry enough money to purchase illegal items, so I really doubt we ever see any big notes again. With a couple of 10,000.00 bills you could have the money get a large load of drugs and no none would know you had it, with that many 100's you would need something to carry that much money in, not stick it in your wallet. I saw an show on History called Cajun Pawn Stars and a guy came in with a brother sister pair of $5,000 and $10,000 notes (they both had serial number K00000042A) , he actually had two pairs of these and the pawn broker offered him 575 thousand dollars for them but the guy said they were worth a million dollars to him because he had the only two sets of brother sister bills on the planet

Edit: it seems the guy had 4 bills but only one pair was a "brother sister pair" and was supposed to be the only B/S pair in existence

I found the promo of the show but didn't find any video's of the whole thing. This is the promo of the show before it aired but if you go to about minute 1:20 you will see the notes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCkZz2RwK5k

I have heard of the 'real' counterfeiter, who decided to print bills with a face value of $21, yes, twenty one dollars!.
He took one to the teller in a bank.
The teller looked at him with a very profound facial expression, and asked him:
"How would you like this changed - three sevens or seven threes?"

And I have heard that they stopped printing notes greater than $100 due to the drug and crime industry too. It was from all of those mafia and criminals back in the 1930s and 1940s that led to it. But I still don't think it has slowed any of it down, especially with the internet now.
