I'm interested on your thoughts on this 1925 California Jubilee. Does it reach AU or XF? I have had it for over 30 years and am pretty sure it is genuine.

My opinions without the coin in hand ...

No doubt in my view ... based on the photos ... this coin is genuine ... and I have alas a counterfeit example to compare it to.

That said ... I cannot judge luster in the photos ... and the toned surfaces lead me to think no original luster remains ... hence not an AU coin.

My opinion is XF40 ... a lovely well circulated example of a classic silver commemorative.

Thanks for sharing!

very nice looking coin, I hope to have one for my type set someday.

I would agree that this coin looks more like a lower XF coin.

But I do know pictures do not always show a coin as it looks in hand ..
So it could grade higher.
Rest in Peace
