My best guess is that it looks something like a clash. but I'm not the pro. I'm sure they will tune in and let everyone know.

This is a form of Die Deterioration. It goes by various names: heavy design transfer, internal metal displacement phenomenon, and progressive, indirect design transfer. The latter is the one I use. Basically, a vague image of the obverse die is transferred to the reverse die through the medium of hundreds of thousands of planchets.
