Hi this is my farther in laws he has tried to identify it several times hope you can help
he thinks he may have had it 40 or so years but it just looks like dress jewellery to me
tried to identify the writing on the front thought it may be Russian?
George and dragon Moscow crest?
any help appreciated

Gary, welcome to the forum!

The legend on your medal indeed appear to be Russian (the old style), but I have hard time trying to read it. Could you try to do make a better close-up of that side?
By the way, despite the style of the legend the medal itself looks fairly recent to me.
