At long last, I finally found my two key Washingtons in circulation!

Yes, I am talking about.... 1977-D and 1979-D.

"Keys?" you say? How so? Well, ever since I've kept a Washington folder for 1960s and 1970s, for some reason all the other dates found their way into those magic blue holes. But the 77-D and 79-D have eluded me... until now!

I was keeping a jug full of pocket change for the better part of a year, and when I rolled it all last week, I found not one but both!

Here ya go... feast your eyes...!

Mission Accomplished. Now I can go relax and search for the missing keys from my Roosy 10c--2009-D and 2010-D!

I know the feeling.

I was searching through a dealer's junk bin a couple of years ago, and I finally found exactly the coin I was looking for. With almost involuntary and loud "BINGO", I celebrated with that one word.

Everybody else in the shop turned their head to find what the short commotion was all about!

Very nice! Who knew that these 2 dates were so tough to find?! I guess that is true of even the most common Zincoln some time in the distant future... Thanks for sharing.

I would call any VF Washington quarter minted before 1988 kind of hard to find in circulation.
Its a good challenge though, I love searching quarters
