The coin was minted, unfortunately, a very sad occasion as you probably know a plane crash that killed Polish Prezydet m.in with Wife!

Really nice coin. I remember watching the news and it was quite a shock to us and it must have been a huge shock in your country.

There are tons of different types of 2 zt. coins made of "Nordic gold" that were issued last few years. I think they are similar to the Presidential dollars here in the US. So, my take on it is that yes, it is circulating, but Poland Coins may have to correct me.

By the way the mintage of this particular 2 zt. is 800,000

There's a whole series of coins 2 zł Nordic Gold, published in Poland in various occasion and opportunity to commemorate various important characters for the Poles. I personally have very pogata collections of coins on the ground with them for a long time already collect also have numismatic shop
