My dad had a role of new Centennial Quarters. We decided to open them and put them in separate packaging. We discovered that a few of the quarters you could not see part of the drum, the drum stick, and part of the drummers arm. Question, Are these a MisStamp or is this something common. Does it change the value of the coin. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Those are Bicentennial quarters. Without a picture, one can only speculate what has occurred. Most likely cause is a clogged die(obstructed by grease and press gunk) which is somewhat common but that is only a guess so we will be awaiting some pics
These are the quarters I was talking about. If you look at the drummer you cannot see part of the drum or arm. If you cannot see these pictures let me know and I will scan them in individually. Thanks for any information.
