This is an odd looking Cud if it is not PMD. It would seem that the rim looks right for a Cud but where the extra metal is, the rim for that area has been deformed and sports a "plateau" like bend. If you look at the reverse where the Cud is on the other side, you see like a struck-thru grease error but it seems to have files lines within it? Do you think someone added metal to it (only way it'd be PMD I guess) or is it a legit Cud? Thanks ahead of time

Looks like a good Cud to me. The file lines you are referring to are lines on the planchet before striking.

Nice find ... a true Cud indeed.

The associated reverse weakness affirms this as a Cud.

prybob makes a very educated observation ... those reverse striations in the reverse weak spots are indeed original planchet marks.

Keeper for sure.

What I see: I see an area of damage on the reverse, as if it is scraped. I don't see the typical area of weakness. I also see that the coin is bent, as if it was in a devise (which subsequently scratched the reverse). I've never seen a bent (wavy as you say) coin that had a Cud.

Also, the 'area of weakness' on the reverse from a Cud would not be broken up into two distinct regions with complete details between them. It would be a uniform area of weakness.

Question: Does the waviness of the coin correspond to these two areas on the reverse that have the design missing? That is, is the coin pressed in exactly where the coin has those those two specific regions of interest on the reverse?

This Cud is also not in any of my books.

Looks legit to me. I think it only looks bent because the Cud is raised and the opposite side of the Cud is lower/weaker if you will. Nice find.
