Lots of halves around but I have not been able to come up with a mintage total nor a price guide for this One Buqsha or 1/40 Riyal.

Has anyone encounter such a coin ? Mintage is unknown to me and therefore pricing is next to impossible. Anyone have an idea on mintage ? The coin itself is interesting as it looks like it was poured. Rough edges on one side and nub on the side where the pour was broken off. Grading a poured coin... mintage and grading. Ideas are welcome.

Here's your type, Yemen Arab Republic KM/Y# 13. No mintages reported. These coins were not cast, but made using an old-style screw press, I believe. Technology from the 1600s, still making circulation coins in 1963.

Can anyone tell if the word "Buqsha" actually appears anywhere on the coin? I know a collector who likes to get as many different denominations as possible by name (my own idea is to get them by number) and for the coin to qualify the denomination has to be written on the coin, no abbreviation. I happen to know he has not got a Buqsha so I might possibly give him a tip.
