Looks like Provident has slide a very limited supply of 14.58 troy oz. Sunshine double eagle bars in their 10 oz. silver bar section....

http://www.providentmetals.com/1-po...ver-bar.html

I had not stumbled across these as of yet, and I thought I would show you guys in the the hunt for 15 oz. bar or so....

Not cheap by any means, as with shipping it would be around 721 bucks, and that breaks down to about 49 bucks an oz.....

Funny thing is Trout, some may be willing to pay that much more of a premium, if it is a rare bar or old hard to find pour or rare company or something, but not really enough of any of that present in this bar to make me pay 20 over spot for it, agreed....

I always say if you are gonna go way over spot, get a beautiful Britannia or perhaps something like a Perth lunar snake or dragon coin, something that is known an holds its value well, via re-sale later....

Why do it with just a plain old bullion bar priced way over spot, makes not much sense too me. Short of Englehard an Johnson or something similar perhaps. An sealed bars always seem to carry a bit more premium, but not near double spot....

at least these are great looking coins/bullion rounds.
and a fair bit of effort has gone into producing these.
especially the smaller 1oz rounds.

Back in 1987 I purchased 1 1986 ESA in a 1 troy pound size. If I remember right it wasn't too much over spot.

These seem way over priced, if I had the money I would buy a 1 kilo bar of silver a little bit different of a size but still cool.

Nope but when I was looking around ebay last night I saw 1 KG (2.2 lbs) silver bars for sale. I think the bidding was just over $1000 at the time

I like the fact that a roll of ASEs or Maples can be sold off gradually. If we need some money for something, we don't have to sell the whole thing to get it... unlike with a big silver bar of some kind. OTOH, if we want to store large amounts of money in silver, then the bigger bars are a pretty good way to do that.
