Does anyone know the rarity of a gold 1862-San Francisco $2.50 and the approximate value it should grade at least ef-40.Thanks

There were 8000 minted coins the approximate value is 2,310 in XF condition according to numismedia.com

This is a pricey date and a conditional rarity. Make sure it has been certified by a top TPG.

You'll likely spend $3,000 for a certified XF piece (problem-free).
