I wouldn't trust them, but they could be 100% on the up and up.

Do not trust anything from China! They have destroyed any possibility of ever having an up & up reputation in my book.

Comparing it to the Mint's $15 Lotus, it appears to be a fake. Or at least it is slightly different than the the pics on the Mint's website.
The gold rim is a nice touch though.

I don't know if I would be upset or glad if this is real. I want it to be real because it looks good, but then if it is real, I am extremely PO'd. Canadian collectors are not good enough to get a custom capsule and gold trimming?

RCM Mint rep said these coins were made by a dealer who added the outer ring. Inner coin appears to be legit.

It resembles a phonograph left in a hot car.

Quote: RCM Mint rep said these coins were made by a dealer who added the outer ring. Inner coin appears to be legit. did that dealer get the go-ahead to revise the RCM box and all too?

So they're not "coins", but "coins in holders".

so the golden rim is part of the capsule just like the black foam in air-tite, not part of the coin, that's smart

No...that rep lied to you. The coin came like that from the Mint store in Hong Kong. They increased the mintage because they went over seas.
