Second one down is the same year.
Nice find. Could be worth around £150 according to that site.

It's a new strike (1915), valued at around 220€, without any numismatic value

@ almingbg -- unless I have misunderstood, you mention a sum of 220 euros assuming that there is no numismatic value to the coin, yet the 3g of 24 carat gold would yield a sum of only £97 based on todays gold prices here in the uk.

That is a modern restrike indeed - the Austrian Mint makes those (and other historic coins) even today. The value of the Ducat that you show in the first post depends on the gold price. Currently it costs about €150 if you buy it from the mint: https://www.muenzeoesterreich.at/Pr...fach-Dukaten

Thanks for the clarification chrisild.

I can personally vouch that this coin is in excess of 35 years old as it has pretty much been in storage for that kind of timescale and the coin was by no means new at the time of commencing storage. From what I gather though, new strikes are pretty much all worth the same in the case in this perticular coinage scenario(as in a value would be entirely dependant on bullion/gold scap value alone rather than holding a collectors premium).

Am I correct in assuming the above?

Correct. Since there's no way of determining exactly when the restrike was made, they're all valued the same, whether made yesterday or 50 years ago.

Sorry, it was a typo.
I meant that coin is (was) worth around 120€ - now it's around 150€.
