Hi guys, the opportunity has come up for me to buy 10-20 $20 paper notes at face value. normally I wouldnt bother but all of these had COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA and seemed to be in really good condition. Just wondering what everyone thought? worth it or not to bother?

If you don't want them I'll take em
This is a no-brainer even if they were torn they are still worth $20 each.
There is a significant premium over spot on these .
Go for it you cannot loose

I think if they're not UNC or not of a good prefix, they won't go for much more on ebay, but hey why not, you're getting them at face anyway :)

You've been quieter than usual trout, ausjack has gone missing as well. I can only assume you two have been plotting something together. What is it? A bank heist? Museum break in? or something more innocent such as the giant magnet towed behind a car along the beach like jack suggested in a different thread?

Gday enwarb, Nah nothing like that.
I have just come back from a mill shutdown and it nearly knackered me.
I had been on holiday for 3 weeks before and I got REAL good at doing nothing
I think Ausjack is probably digging a tunnel under the mint in the hope of pinching the inventory of all the coins ever minted in Aus.
Don't fret he will post pic's

Ikiriki do you know what the signitures are on the notes?
This is most important,
If they are Coombes Randell grab them in both hands regardless of the condition.

If you buy them at face, you can either try to resell at a profit, or keep them handy where you can spend them if a great deal comes up, but until then you'll be less inclined to spend them on silly stuff.
