Nice coins indeed. Nothing like a large and heavy ancient coin. Right now, the largest I have is 26mm at 10.7 gm. Although, I do have a 30mm coin coming soon.
I wonder why those coins appear so light. Is it because of the photo, lighting, or are they cleaned? Most coins I see are often enough dark or near black.

Quote: I wonder why those coins appear so light. Is it because of the photo, lighting, or are they cleaned? They have the direct reflection of a lamp coming off them thats why they look lighter. I waxed a few of them up so they are kind of shiney. The lamp is a reading lamp about half a foot above the coins.

I havent added them all up for the cost of the coins but they all where pretty cheap. Here are some of the fallen horsemen reverses. AE3 fallen horseman reverses some AE2 coins Licinius constantines, gallienus, tetricus I and II's, victoranius and claudius coins

That is a nice lot, I see some very good coins there. Are they all from one lot? If so I for one would like to know where you bought them.
