I would have to research to find out where the proofs were struck,, I was working under the assumption that all proof coinage was being struck at the Philly mint. I suppose its possible that San Francisco may have struck some ?

Actually the 1903 coin was never cleaned, it only has that cartwheel luster...i guess

yes metalman they now do:)
the time I acquired this coin I thought at first it was a proof stike because its finely detailed. I made a comparison with other silver pesos but this one stands out.

Although I never held a Peace dollar before rather seen one, I think this silver peso is a little bit wider than the Peace dollar but never as big as a morgan:)
