I'm fairly new to slabbed coins. All my pcgs holders are the ones with the blue label with bar code and cert number. When I saw this I wasn't sure why there is no number grade or bar code. Can anyone give me info on this?

This is a real holder, but it is not graded. probably a promotional sample.

Some people do collect the promotional sample slabs.

It is graded, just not down to the number. The grade is Brilliant Uncirculated.

I have heard of coins being slabbed with this type of grading, which reduced the cost of it being slabbed.

The part of it not having a serial number on it concerns me. The question is, could it be a counterfeit slab?

I emailed PCGS to see if it is a legit slab.

It is legitimate. Not sure if it is a sample or a bulk lot "slab as BU if it doesn't make the grade" submission.
