I found this 2002-05 cent Australian coin while roll
searching Lincoln cents earlier today.
Is this a normal reverse for this year?

I know absolutely nothing on foreign coins, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chuck.

Sure look like a regular 2002 5c to me. Was there anything specific you need to know?

The animal is an Echidna, also called a spiny anteater in Oz, one of only 2 animals in the monotreme order of egg-laying mammals, the other being the platypus which features on our 20c coin.

the curl of the 5 often seems to be grease or oil affected to me.

Thanks to all.

Nancy: I had seen another post with different type reverses and one mentioned a type 3 on the 2002 05 cent coin. Just wondering if this was a type 3 or what is the normal # Reverse for this coin?

Thanks again,

Chuck.
