Hi...just purchased this 2001 50 cents which was stated as about uncirculated ...received it today and if this is aUNC I'm flat excited about some coins I have which are far better than this....what do you all think?

For me, not really
I always thought of aUNC or choice was a coin that only had 1 or two dings in the rim and few scratches in the surface.
Heres a 2011 50c from a new broken armaguard bag and spent 10seconds in the till. Your coin is just plain circulated, and never believe people grading there just BS.
The only grade better than this is specimen from a mint set.

you have me a tad worried now, I'm bidding on a coin worth about $15 but there are 2 pics, 1 of a mint coin in a cover and the other of the circulated coin I'm hoping to buy. currently I am winning with 99c and 20 hours to go

larena:

I would grade it as aUnc, but it also has very extensive and bad nicks all over it, which unfortunately does not make it any more valuable than a common circulated coin. Sorry about that.

I would have liked the 2001 coin to be near the same condition as the 2011 coin.
