I have discovered a 1964 5 cent coin, it has what appears to be a raised dot after the 4 (? a die error). I'm not sure whether this has any significance. Can anyone advise me whether there are steps I can take to find out whether this coin holds any value?

FireFly_2, to the Forums.

As, in all inquiries, we have to see a pic of your coin to give an accurate evaluation.

Thankyou for the welcome!. I am quite new at this and do not yet have equipment that allows me to take macro photo images... this is the 1964 coin... looking on the picture it appears more like a dash. Hope it uploads ok.

Thankyou Ugly and Cladhunter. I have collected coins for years - mostly mint sets etc, but have never done any researching or learning about them (never time) - I now have some time and great interest - This was quite exciting for me to find as I learn about errors etc... It will be treasured in my little collection (LOL) and hopefully the beginning of many delightful finds.
