I know. I know. I've been too busy. I want to show you this Commodus. Although worn, I think it is beautiful. It is RIC 319 AE As that is 10.52g, 27mm:

OBV: M COMMODVS ANTONINVS AVG, laureate head right
REV: TR P VI IMP IIII COS III P P S C, Commodus driving a quadriga to left

Is it just my eyes or are there only three horses on this coin. Wouldn't that make it a triga?

Great details! This reverse reminds me of Republican and Greek coins.

I think your right there a fourth there somewhere. I've been working with the welders all day. It's a wonder I can see any horses at all.

Not to worry. I have some more coming.

This coin caught my attention the moment I saw it. It reminded me of some earlier first century coins. Thanks ll for you comments.

Wear has merged the two middle horse heads but I see 16 legs including the front ones raised from the ground. Nice coin.
