JW posted some coins of Faustina I earlier today, so here is one of her daughter Faustina II.

This is a provincial from Philippopolis and is Moushmov #5163 and depicts Artemis standing left holding ears of corn and a torch.

Nice coin. Junior looks a little better looking than her mother.

And I have this denarius with faustina junior...I agree I think she was a nice woman after all better than her mother....I take this coin time ago because it rapresent well the style of roman women....however she's very similar to her husband marcus aurelius and to her son commodus looking at eyes...if you see usually empresses are rapresented similar to the emperor's face:-)

Nice denarius, she was a beautiful woman but not of very good character. She was an unfaithful wife and was involved in an unsuccesful revolt which caused her to commit suicide.

I have seen a great deal of fairly affordable Faustina II coins at VCOINS. Most of the ones I saw are part of a hoard of coins. I only have a low grade Faustina I coin so far. I may get a Faustina II coin in the future, perhaps.

Faustina Jr. had the unique privilege of being the only woman who was the daughter of, the wife of & the mother of a Roman Emperor.(ie. Antonius Pius, Marcus Aurelius & Commodus)

Too bad Commodus didn't follow in the foot stepts of his father and grandfather.
