Hi I hope you can help me identify this "roman coin". I cant seem to find it and I suspect it is fake. I am sorry about the bad picture. Thanks in advance.

It does not appear to be fake from what I can make out. I can barely see the letters 'CONSTA..." so this is either Constantine I or Constantius II. I can tell you that the bust is rosette-diademed, draped, and cuirassed facing right. To give you anything more we will need to see clearer images and a picture of the reverse. It does appear to be a high grade coin, so that is nice!

to the community As the others have said, the coin appears to be real and is either Constantine I or his son Constantius II.

It would also help to see the reverse of the coin and to adjust when taking the photo to make it less blurry. Perhaps the coin can be identified then.

Wow, you guys are good! Thanks for a warm welcome. Here are two photos that are slightly better. I cannot show you the back side since the coin is inserted into a silver ring.

So I guess we can't see the back because it is in a ring. Well, At least these new pics help. It is Constantine I, more commonly known as Constantine the Great. The obverse reads CONSTANTI-NVS MAX AVG and I mentioned the bust features earlier. This coin has a nice, even dark-green patina on it. If you ever break it out of the ring, show us the back and we can attribute it fully for you.

Personally, I would just keep it in the ring. It's a fairly common coin, but distinctive in that setting. If it were something particularly scarce/valuable from ancient Greece, I'd have a different opinion.

I also agree., leave it in the ring, it's nice, although I wouldn't put one into jewelry, personally.
If you want one like it, or similar, you can find one fairly easily and not very expensive really.
