I found a Jefferson nickel where the reverse has a crack from about 10 o'clock to about 4 o'clock and the steps on each side of the crack are actually offset just a little.

it goes from the G of God down to the front of the jacket

Is this one raised? The upper part looks incuse? If it is incuse it may be a scratch on the coin.
