Ok morning, I got my scales back and weighed the coin and the results are 6.15 gm, or .217 oz. Then after doing a quick search on google I turned up the weight of a quarter.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Standard circulating quarters struck in copper-nickel weigh 0.20 oz., or 5.67 gm.
A silver quarter dated 1964 and earlier weighs 6.25 grams.

Now please noticed that my coin weighs .45 g more, or .017 oz heavier if it was a SCQ struck in copper-nickle.
Also note that if it was a silver pre dated 1964, it would be .1 gram heavier.
Hmmm, I need to think about this alittle more.
