Im looking at getting a papermoney value book, would this 2011 Charlton Catalogue of Canadian Government Paper money 23rd edition be good enough for all years of papermoney from 1870 to the recent? and does it tell you how to grade like the coin charlton?

This is a great book, and every collector of Canadian Paper Money should have one. There is a section in the front, that describes grading notes in great detail.

The book has has prices for all Dominion of Canada and Bank of Canada notes.

You might want to get the 2012 edition instead of the 2011, some of the later series of notes have dropped in price, and the pictures are in colour.

Yeah, you should definitely get the 2012 version. I am not sure why I thought that the 2011 book was the newest. (Hey, its still a new year, I am constantly dating notes as 2011)

2012 book highly recommended. It's a valuable resource to have in your money book library.
