Yes, I call them bar on column, on your coin I would say bar on column 6 small. I have found hundreds of them and the ones on column 6 are harder to find then the ones on column 7.

6th & 7th column ddrs are very common

It is called class 9 doubled dies. The single squeeze hubbing is started and sometimes backed off and other time the hub snaps into correct alignment during the process leaving an area on either side with an extra bar in varing lengths depening on how much movement happens.

Are these coins that should be held on to? Is there really any value(other than face) since there seems to be so many in circulation?

They are doubled dies, but common to find. Like your coin. there are many that have such a small amount of doubling it is not listed. On the larger ones they do list these.

I save the stronger ones and the smaller one I save for a friend who has a large collection of them. I have a roll of them to send him now. Starting on another roll.
