I began my first roll hunting adventure this past week with 2 boxes of pennies I bought from my local bank. It has been a fun, monotonous, calming, irritating, and roller coaster ride for me. I have already located about 5 wheats (1945, 1957, 1954...) that in okay shape. I have my Red Book handy to review the key dates I come across, none so far.

Ever the one to make my time productive I started pulling out the best of the common coins that are brilliant red with the least amount of blemishes, nicks, and wear marks. I think I can get at least a set from 1973 through 2011 even though I didn't start this errand until the end of the first box. I will try to post a picture of my findings in the next couple of days.

I did $25 yesterday and got 11 Wheat's the oldest being a 23 and a 42 Canadian cent.
Also had a solid 25% copper ratio. Still learning to spot the error and variety coins.

WAM's can found pretty easily. See if your local bank will sell you bags. Bags cost $50 when there full. You should be able to pull a nice red copper set from at least 1959 - 2011. Good luck and happy hunting.
