One-Ounce Gold Eagles With Roman Numerals

Newmismatist Valued Member United States 197 Posts	Posted 01/22/2012 09:27 am I own a couple of one-ounce Gold Eagles minted in the 1980's when the years were cast in roman numerals. I've heard that these may be developing a numismatic following--that people are beginning to express a preference for the roman numeral Eagles and even pay a premium. Is anyone else hearing this? Accidently found out when looking at auction prices. The M70 listed for a lot more. My local dealer would pay near 3000 to buy one he said so for some reason maybe not that rare but command higher prices.
