Almost missed this one during my roll searching. Kind of goes with the 1993 die crack I found 10 boxes ago https://goccf.com/t/107611

Is that a crack throught LIBERTY over the bust, or a coin scratch?

The coin is an LDS example, but the crack I mentioned would be headed it's way to a Cud in a short time. Probably face an earily retirement.

It would have made for a dateless coin if that die broke and made the Cud. I searched both my Cud books for a dateless Jefferson in that location - but didn't find one (I knew it was a long shot, but it would have been cool). Anyhow, it makes me wonder how soon that die was retired after this coin was struck ...

Awesome find and in great condition for a 17 year old coin.

Pretty minor die cracks, so it probably had a long way to go before breaking, if it ever did.

The cracks are so far from the date (going through the words liberty and trust), why do you think it would have eventually affected the date?
