Here's a pretty good paper note find I had a while back. I normally don't collect paper notes, but I saw this in a pawn shop's display shelf for 2 dollars and thought at that price I had nothing to lose by getting it. From what I've found out, this is a Vietnam-era military payment certificate, the series 641 meaning that it was printed in 1964 and was the first of it's series. The note is UNC other than the fact that it has a slight crease down the middle. My guess is somebody folded it a long time ago, it doesn't draw away from the general appeal of the note that much. Not that I wish to let it go anytime soon, but I'm curious as to what these things tend to go for?

Here is a picture, the quality does not do it right at all in my opinion... but it's the best I can do for the time being.

I think that is a neat series.
Here's some completed items I found for you.Perhaps that would help.

I ended up getting this neat CU set here on CCF a couple years ago. I don't have the top one with the Statue of Liberty on it or the bottom one on the left side either as they are a different series.I don't think I have either of them anyway. I do have the 5 10 25 and 50 cent ones though.

I just picked up a 681 series this afternoon. I had never seen these before, and like Stutzman, I don't collect notes but liked it since I served on subs for a while. I would have paid a little more for it, but the coin shop parted for 50 cents. Couldn't turn it down for that price. I might go back and buy the other few they had for the heck of it. Nice find Stutzman.

That's also a very nice find for 50 cents Ridge Runner. When they let them go for prices like that you can't pass them up. And that's a good question about who's on the bill, I'm not sure who that is... does anyone else know maybe?
