Vicksburg-National-Military-Park,-Mississippi-Np9-5-OunceThis coin, featuring an image of Vicksburg National Military Park, is the fourth coin released in the 2011 America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin Series. These coins are legal tender and have a nominal face value of 25 cents. Their fineness and weight are edge-incused on the coins.

The series features the 1932 portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan, restored to bring out subtle details and the beauty of the original model, on the obverse. The reverse depicts the U.S.S. Cairo on the Yazoo River as it would have been seen when it served the U.S. Navy during the Civil War.

These striking numismatic collectibles are produced with an uncirculated finish and display a "P" mint mark for the United States Mint at Philadelphia, where they are struck. The coins are encapsulated, set in a protective outer box, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. These coins are produced in limited quantities.

Ordering Limits

A limit of five (5) coins per household is in effect for the first week of this product's release. At the end of this period, the United States Mint will re-evaluate this limit and either extend, adjust or remove it.

Mintage Limits

Program Information

The United States Mint will issue 56 quarters featuring designs depicting national parks and other national sites as part of this program. Five America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins will be minted annually and released in the order in which the honored site was first established as a national site, with the final coin issued in 2021.

Thanks for the info. I ordered mine last week and just received an email from the US Mint that it is backordered until 02/03/2011. That is not too bad. I just hope the mint does not cancel the order as I know they do some times. I hope I ordered early enough.
