So, the wife was cruising ebay and came accross an auction on a 32D that was about to end and was only at 86 bucks. I took a quick look at it nd said it doesn't look bad. Its a G4 and nothing is screaming fake. I turned back around to feeding my fish. I already have a 32D graded G4, so I thought no more. Next thing I know she is going "OH MY GOD!!" I turn around and sure enough, she had put a bid in just for grins not thinking it would go for under high 90s. She got it for 89.98. Let me say now I am not polling for opinions as to whether anyone thinks it is fake or not. Not that I am saying I don't want those opinions, just the purpose of the thread is to show how dangerous an uncontrolled wife on ebay can be. http://www.ebay.com/itm/23069490067....m1439.l2649

I know how the rush of an auction closing can be! If it wasn't for last minute bidding I think most items would sell for half their normal value.
I hope it is real, but it is hard for me to tell. The D is a little too rounded for my liking, but once you get the coin in hand you can examine it carefully. Just return it if it doesn't seem to be the real deal.

Great deal if the D won't come off with a little acetone. It looks like a good buy from what I see, I sold one similar maybe even more worn a few months ago for $125.00 go figure!
P.S. your wife sounds cool!

It was a total impulse bid on my part. I still can't believe I did it but I didn't think for a minute it would go for less than $100. The guy has good feedback so hopefully, I won't live to regret this. And clearly, I can't ebay without adult supervision.

That's funny. Sometimes I bid on items that I don't plan on winning. I don't know what I would do if I actually won though. lol.

Great buy! Glad it worked out for you two. Although, I am a bit surprised that your purchase price is around what Numismedia lists. That's a nice looking coin for a key date at that price range.

Yeah, she does that. She came accross the 38D Walker I purchased and restored over in the classic forum. She seems to have a nose for the deals.
