biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 01/18/2012 10:32 pm 1921, the spacing from the 1 to the rim matches a 1921 while a 1931 has a larger space. The coin is quite worn but it was also struck with dies that were way beyond their optimal lifespan. I have never seen a 1931 that poorly struck but early 1920s dates are frequently found in a VLDS.
