I would email Dr Wiles at http://www.varietyvista.com and ask him. He will assign a new # to it, if it is a new one.

And if no luck there try J.T. Stanton or Bill Faviz.

Or conecaonline.com, but I think Dr Wiles is maintaining that.

Coop: I just see a normal mint mark with some die movement. Not the rim to the right of the mint mark

I am confused. You are not able to see the 2 distinct, vertical lines on the left of the MM, where the 'top' D is shifted to the east of the 'bottom' D?

To me it clearly looks like the MM was stamped more than one time. How can I best tell the difference between an OMM / RPM and a 'shifted die?'

Either way, the coin was not produced how it was intended to be produced, right?

Thanks for the tip! I will give it a try.

You're welcome and good luck. Let us know how you do.

It is always interesting to hear people finding new varieties. I just hope to be one of those people someday.

There may be some isolated Machine Doubling involved here as well. I do not think that it is a RPM. Also, ICG is a great company for encapsulating error and variety coins. I use them exclusively and have never had a complaint.
