I like this coin, but I'm concerned about the blue patches (arrows). Is this "bronze disease", or a stabler form of verdigris?
Thanks for your expertise--trying to learn here.

I was wondering about how it sits above the surface, and BD tends to "burrow" into the coin.
Thanks!

The same type of deposits are on the reverse. These are hard mineral deposits and will not hurt the coin.

Yeah the BD kind of eats into the coin. I have a bronze of Claudius I that had small deposits of BD. When I finally eliminated them, the tiny craters the BD made were visible.

I have often considered if VerdiCare would help on this coin.

It has been used with success with U.S. bronze coins, would it help here?
