Looking at the RedBook the entire "in God we trust" is doubled on these. I have several (8) that have doubling on less than that entire motto. Would they be considered DDOs or something different. My photo skills are worse than you can imagine so I won't even attempt that.

Next ?. RedBook shows value of 700.00 for Proof specimins, mine are circulated and probably don't grade any higher than XF. Is there somewhere to find a value on them?

Thanks much in advance.

Have you tried Coppercoins. It's great to identify varieties and has a value range.

if its the 72 that everybody is after, doubling would be slap in the face. The lesser of the DDOs are a diferent story. Pics would really be great

1972P DDO-001 is the big one listed in the RedBook but there are a total of thirteen DDOs for 1972P, most of them are fairly minor and inexpensive. Do not confuse these DDOs with the proof 1972S DDO-001. To further complicate matters, a significant number of 1972 Lincolns are also affected by minor master die doubling which has no extra value since it is so prevalent.

thanks Biochemist, I believe that is what I have, the minor varieties as they are all 72P models.

Keep an eye out for 1972P 1DO-004, this is worth more than the others even though the doubled areas are less extreme than die#1.
