Hi,

Not sure if this is an error or not. I looked through a couple websites on mint errors and I didn't see anything like this, but figured I'd ask.

At first I thought it was PMD, but under magnification the lettering does not seem to be affected.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It's a type of Die Deterioration that commonly occurs on pennies from the 1980's. Nothing rare.
