MS69. I like the ASE's! Walking liberty is awesome and she looks great in 999 silver!

Of course silver is the key hear. Your coin is valued at its silver price and may never be worth more than its silver premium.

If you are looking for something with a numastic value maybe try a Walking half dollar.

This is the first non proof ASE issued from the mint called "burnished" with a W mint mark. It should command more than just silver price.

Definitely a good buy if it is being sold for something close to silver spot price and I suspect it may be since you are in Europe and not the US. It was the key coin until 2011 for non-proof Silver Eagles with a mintage of less than 500,000 but only ~200,000 were sold individually with the rest sold as part of a set with other coins. The sets were created for the 20th anniversary of the Eagle program with one set containing a 2006W Silver Eagle and a 2006W Gold Eagle and the other contained a 2006W Eagle along with a proof Silver Eagle and a Reverse Proof Silver Eagle.

Edit: thanks for the correction jamesta, you are correct. I forgot about that one since I got left out in the cold on the 25th anniv set sale

I'm going to have to disagree about it being the key coin for non-proofs; that would have to be the 2011-S burnished ASE. It certainly is the 2nd key as of now; I also think that it's undervalued where it is now and will settle closer to the $75-90 range.

At $35.15US I would buy it in a heartbeat. In the US. Not sure if that is a good price in Europe.

A 1 oz .999 silver coin is worth about 43.62$ at a fair price here in portugal!
