I was JK about the contest. I cant find anything else about the token though. Very cool, gotta be somewhat scarce if it sat here for 9 hours w/o a comment. IMO

I suspect that this token has been deliberately serrated, so that it is no longer redeemable.

It's obviously a bank promo, but I'm surprised a Half Cent would be worth fooling with in 1919.

Seems they were issued as a sort of rebate. Up to two percent of purchases, through participating merchants, were given back to consumers. Redeemable upon deposit at the bank. 1/2¢ up to 50¢ tokens were offered. 50¢ in 1919 would have been substantial to the common man.
