Yup, if you're after a catalogue covering the whole Byzantine period, the Sear book is the only one I know about. I have an old first edition (1974), bought second-hand; it works for me.
If you're just after a good read, with pics and a history of Byzantine coinage, try the Wayne G. Sayles volume on Byzantine from his "Ancient Coin Collecting" series. I don't have this particular volume so can't recommend it personally, but I've enjoyed other volumes in the series and the reviewers on Amazon seem pleased enough. It's also a lot cheaper.
