I think F15 details because of the scratches and there at least a couple of dings on the front and the back.

I think VG-10 is close. I'm thinking (with VERY little research) this is an O-101 (R2).  Anyone to back me up or challenge?

This is the chart from CoinZip.com that lists all the Obverse and Reverse dies and the marriages of those pairs.  It could make this variety more desirable to a collector of 1831 CBHDs who does not already have this variety. The Rarity Factor (O-101 = Rarity 2) just tells you how many of this variety are known to exist. R2 = 500-1,000 known.  The varieties of these handmade dies of this coin type are just excrutiatingly fascinating to some of us!
