Decent looking fake if you like fakes. I wouldn't spend the money on one though unless you collect fakes. Otherwise what would you do with it?

Hi carl

Yes I collect fakes counterfeits and forgeries

But on this one could not find anything fake about it after comparing to known genuine coin. just photos of course
To me it looks like circulated coin with maybe some brazing spatter?

Never heard about counterfeits of US coins from WW1. Had heard about England VS Spain Sheffield's early 1800s
own a couple of those, very well done
This one one if lead ? I would expect to be more worn
but if so wow more than decent looking

The guy states it's probably lead. I think you would know that for sure.

Yeah! How could you have a coin in a collection for 50 yrs without noticing it's lead?! That made me suspect the seller, but maybe he just got some very bad "expert" advice.
