I've sent off a detailed explanation with links to the CCW. We'll see.

Too funny. I guess he couldn't be bothered to buy some at a local shop so his Scam auctions would not be too obvious. Dishonest and lazy.

When you say you're pointing out another ebay moron, are you pointing that at the seller or the buyers? I can't tell the difference.

Oddly all the feedback is positive and people are liking his rolls. To each their own...

Dishonest? No. Misleading perhaps. Lazy? Not at all. Quite enterprising. And certainly not illegal.
"Shotgun" rolls have been around for many, many years and the use of the term "unsearched" has always been suspect.
But to point out englandtc's modus opperandi so clearly, with documentation, is a great service to the world of collecting.
Nicely done, scubu!

Quote: Dishonest? No. Dishonest? You betcha. He claims the rolls are unsearched when he assembled them himself. Outright lie.

Quote: And certainly not illegal. Very debatable. If you intentionally sell something as something it's not, that's fraud. He claims they are unsearched, it appears that it could be pretty easily proven that these rolls were put together by him, therefore not unsearched. I certainly wouldn't want to be the defendant in that case.

But oh what a victory it would be if mr. englandtc is found guilty of fraud.

Its too bad that there are new collectors falling for this scam all the time...and even some veteran collectors.

Ooch... It is also laziness on the bidders part that they are not looking into this sellers buy/sell history....
