Not a bad effort there, djluster.

From Europe, you're missing a couple, including some of the "harder-to-find" countries:

Andorra (between France and Spain)
Bosnia-Herzegovina (ex Yugoslav state)
Cyprus (Mediterranean island)
Czech Republic (ex Czecholsovakia)
Estonia (ex USSR)
Guernsey (Channel Islands)
Jersey (Channel Islands)
Latvia (ex USSR)
Lithuania (ex USSR)
Liechtenstein (between Austria and Switzerland)
Macedonia (ex Yugoslavia)
Malta (Mediterranean island)
Moldova (ex USSR)
Montenegro (ex Yugoslavia)
Serbia (ex Yugoslavia)
Slovakia (ex Czechoslovakia)

Belarus and several smaller channel islands like Alderney have only issued NCLT - no circulation or "cheap coins". There's also the unrecognised state of Transnistria between Moldova and the Ukraine, issuing its own coins.

Most of the ex-USSR and ex-Yugoslav states have issued some kind of cheap, circulating coinage since independence, and isn't too hard to find. Andorra has issued a couple of cheapies in recent years and isn't as hard to find as it used to be. Liechtenstein is probably the hardest - only a few "circulation" issues pre-WWI, only a few commemoratives afterwards, nothing cheap.

Then of course, there are European places that issued coins, even in the 20th century, that no longer exist. Places like: Bohemia-Moravia, Crete, Danzig, the Faeroe Islands, East Germany, Saarland, and Vichy France. Add them to your list or not, as you see fit.

A couple of final points: Turkey is normally classed as an "Asian" country, simply because it's capital (Ankara) is in the Asian part of the country. Salzburg is, of course, a Swiss canton.

iv been doing the same, I have coins from most of them, but only half the countries I have their complete currency set. esp luxembourg, for a country that isn't too far away from me, this annoys me.

Right, not cheap ... but not really hard either. The "recent" 10 fr commems (1988, 1990, 2006) cost about €20-25 here. Just stay away from the Liechtenstein ECU "coins"; those are privately issued medals.

Salzburg is, of course, a Swiss canton
Hmmm?

Don't forget the Azores!! I think they are technically an autonomous region of Portugal, but still a part of Europe.

Ah. I go to look it up and find it's an Austrian state, not a Swiss one.

My apologies. Next time, I'll go to the trouble of actually looking it up.
