I personally would need more info. on the coin's complete description such as the year, denomination, country and mint mark (if any) etc. before I can begin to attempt to address your question.

I 'assume' that this is a US coin but assuming anything has frequently ended up with erroneous results.

I just see Machine Doubling on the tops of the letters. Very common, no extra value.
