I was grading this at MS 62/63 - but as I was looking I noticed an anomaly through "ribus" in the word "pluribus" so I've uploaded those pics as well....is this a die crack? If so what does this do to the coin's value. Been doing a bit of googling on a 1957 Washington quarter die crack..not much found so far.

SO I guess three questions:

whats your opinion on the grade?
Is this a die crack?
If it's a die crack, what does it do to the value?

There is a bit of glare in the fields but they look quite clean so I see no reason why this one could not grade at least MS64. Yes, that is a die crack in EPU but it would have no affect on the value. You missed the big one along the leading edge of the right wing(left side of the coin).

Well biokemist6, you're right...i didn't even see that. This was my first die crack find on one of *my* coins so I was distracted by the first one. Pretty cool. Thanks for the find and opinion.

I found this same die crack on one of my 1957-P quarters. The crack on the right wing is more prominent than the one attached here and extends down below into the leaf.

I think it could grade at least MS-63 or 64.

I think it is a 62 or maybe 63. It has the normal strike of the period. I think it is a late die state, even if not late not too many more coins would come from that die. The surfaces are nice. I am only seven coins away from a complete date MM set in this condition. It is a very coin nice in my book.
